URGENT MESSAGE: Attention all Yancey County dog hunters!
Yancey County dog hunters need to immediately contact their County
Commissioners. Ask your County Commissioners to defeat this animal control
ordinance.
The Yancey County Commissioners will consider
a proposed Animal Control Ordinance on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 6:00 pm.
They will meet at the Yancey County Courthouse, 110 Town Square, Burnsville,
NC 28714.
"Yancey Animal Advocacy
", the animal rights group pushing this animal control
ordinance will present it to the Commission on Monday evening, 10/14/19.
Please attend this County Commission meeting. Arrive early to sign up to
speak during the Public Comment period (you will have 3 minutes to speak).
If you do not sign up, you will not be allowed to speak.
It would be better if the Commission chose NOT to pursue this ordinance. If
they vote to pursue it, they would have a Public Hearing (date unknown) and
vote on the ordinance on Tuesday, 11/12/19.
