I have been battling fleas for the last week. I have them confined to two pens but I’m trying to get on top of them before they go to the others. I took the dogs out the two pens and flooded it with bayer complete insect killer with no results. Then I spread diatomaceous earth down with the same thing. Just sprayed bifen yesterday and they are still there today. I’ve heard I can spray diesel fuel but I’m scared on how long the smell will last. If it will kill them and I can stick dogs back in there a few days later I will do that. Can someone please guide me in the right direction.
When you get them killed,,,,,,,,,I would suggest that you do not put dogs in them for at least three weeks.....In 14 days after you kill them all of those unhatched eggs are going to start hatching and you will have to kill those fleas too....And then one more cycle of eggs after that.
good luck...
Go online and order Flea Assassin pills. Red label ones kill fleas within 10mins. Green label ones stop their breeding cycles. Order the highest pound. Give the green label ones the day after the reds. Give the pills every 25/30 days. This is what we’ve been using for couple years now and it’s working fine. Even gave it to puppies. And with 60 plus dogs it’s cost effective also.
