Hound has a hot spot on his back and is itchy and loosing all his hair on his belly. Vet gave me some spray and it not working. Any thoughts on how to help him?
Brewers Yeast tablets, you can get them from Walmart, give them to him for about 10 days and you should see an improvement. We also use spray for girth itch for horses and tail & mane from Tractor Supply.
Take 2 tablespoons of Borax washing powder (like 20 mule team ) and add it to 16 ounces of hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and spray the area and hair around it once a day for a couple of days, then give it a couple of weeks and the hair will be back.
