Would you go back to a permanent nursing job after travel nursing?

I've been thinking about trying travel nursing, but one thing I'm curious about is how people feel after doing it for a while. Once you get used to changing locations, taking different assignments, and having more flexibility, is it difficult to go back to a permanent hospital position?

For those who have been travel nurses for a few years, would you ever consider going back to a regular staff job? What would make you switch?

For now, though, I enjoy being able to try different locations and choose assignments that fit my plans. I usually keep an eye on openings through tlc nursing and compare what's available before deciding on my next move. Travel nursing isn't perfect, but I like having options instead of feeling tied to one hospital. I think the decision really depends on what stage of life you're in and whether you value flexibility or stability more at that point.

I went back to a permanent position after traveling for a while, and I don't regret either experience. Travel nursing was great when I wanted to see new places and experience different hospitals, but eventually I got tired of moving and looking for housing every few months. Having the same schedule, coworkers, and home base became more important to me. I wouldn't rule out traveling again someday, though.
