I have just seen a friend off to Alicante airport. My route back naturally was the familiar to tourists C6 airport bus, followed by Luceros tram station in Alicante. Going down the escalator, the first thing I saw was a huge Salvador Dali poster, that covered the entire wall. A large Dali painting I have never seen before was over 10 feet high. In El Campello we have La Plaza de Garcia Lorca. The greatest poet of the 20th century in Spain, and a friend o Salvador Dali. I am begining to understand and love the Spanish people. They celebrate their culture here! Even the crazy guys!
Anyone travelling to Alicante / Benidorm should note the following: Luceros terminal will be closed for works for a month from next week. All trams will terminate at Mercado. There is a C6 bus stop outside if you are travelling to / from the airport.
It is possible the Dali wall may become a permanent feature to the new access. I hope so.
