I just finished reading \"On the Farm\" Robert Pickton and the tragic story of Vancouver\'s Missing Woman....I have to be honest and say that before reading this book I had quite an ignorant attitude about these women and their lifestyles...but after reading this book and being shocked as to what their lifestyles led them to...I am now very sorry for the kind of ignorance, because now I can only feel sorrow for these woman and their families. I live quite close to the so called Pig Farm all though now there is nothing there it haunts me. I am an acquaintance of Dave Pickton, and I now have to say that I find it hard that he was not involved, but I guess Willey will take that information to the grave, where I hope he will soon be. My thoughts and prayers are with the families. May life heal you and bring you all some sort of peace.

I just finished reading the story/information you had on your website about Angela. It made me so sad. I also had a daughter along with two grandchildren who disappeared in 1998, we still don;t know what actually happened to them, thanks to the "underwhelming" help of law enforcement. I can totally sympathize with your frustration. Ironically, my daughters birthday happens to be Nov.20th, its it so coincidental...that I should happen to find your page. This post wishes that you find some comfort and peace and know that there are many more of us out here. Our particular family members were found in April of l999, and while it brings a comfort of sorts to know where they rest, it does not bring the questions to an end. There really is no help readily available when something like this strikes your life, it is like I said in the beginning, "its not like you have a refridgerator magnet that tells you what to do when your child goes missing". It has been 13 years and it feels like yesterday, I still carry the nasty taste in my mouth, from the excuses and ineptness of law enforcement in these cases, so please know that one of these days maybe they will all get their just rewards, my favorite saying is "what goes around, comes around", not that I wish ill will on anyone, but something needs to wake these people up.
Every person out there in the world is "someones child", no matter how old they are.
Please know that my heart feels your pain.

I am honored my friend sent me a pic of her relative who was killed by Pickton.My hearts go out to all those who have been subjected to this trauma. I too have lost a relative due to violence. I thought this would cheer you up. I like everyone else sometimes get in a slump where my brain is playing games with me. I then read this while I am in that mood, and I eventually smile. Perhaps you are the ones who will keep the memory alive, for future generations who will have not had the luxury of knowing this person. You can at least say you knew the person and that in-it-self is a gift. Whatever frame of mind always know there is a reason. I wrote this a few years ago and it is copyrighted.

So sorry about your loss so long ago. I remember Angela in high school, she tried so hard to fit in, but she was a child in a teenager's body at that time. Being a teenager was difficult enough but I can't imagine how it must have been for Angela. She always seemed so angry and probably rightfully so because of the teasing she endured and when she tried to fight back........(sigh). I'm just so sorry and I wonder why she was placed in with the general population of students. I suppose a small town in those days just didn't have the capacity or understanding to help her. May she rest in peace and may your soul find peace.

I was friends with Andrea Fay Borhaven (Spider). We were street family. She was dating my best friend who has since passed away as well. Andrea was so energetic and full of life when we first met on Granville and I know that that's how she would have wanted to be remembered.

I was also friends with Sarah de Vries. She had a quiet way about her yet she was also tough. A strong spirited woman with the heart of and angel.
