bionic woman

the song "lady" was on an episode of bionic woman. you can see it here:

http://www.nbc.com/Bionic_Woman/video/episodes.shtml

it is episode 108 "do not disturb" , it is in the first couple of minutes, it originally aired on NBC Nov. 28, 2007. Crazy.

Re: bionic woman

is bionic woman popular in the states?? think its showing on digital here soon. lady is a good song but probably not the best to showcase to the world on a tv show, linger on would have got people wondering. im probably wrong though its just my opinion

Re: bionic woman

No, you're right with that. "Linger on" would be the perfect song to... grant their ways up. To where, I do not know.
Sometimes I think they do not perform this particular song too often - because they are afraid of what may come out of it. Could it be they don't want to become famous? I've asked myself this several times.

Re: bionic woman

Interesting to hear so many people are wondering about the same question - that's what I've been asking myself several times as well. How popular do they actually want to be? I don't know. I really don't know.

Still, it's quite amazing their songs are used in TV. Wouldn't have expected it (and hey, just imagine a Linger On "boom" - I mean, no one could listen to this song without getting totally addicted to it, could they?), honestly.

john of the smelleys:

to answer your question, no it is not popular in the states, in fact, the show has been cancelled due to low ratings. the 2gs will be as popular as they will be , that is all.

Re: bionic woman

@pedro: wise words. very thoughtful indeed.

Re: bionic woman

to expound, I believe the 2gs do not try to be popular or unpopular, nor do I believe they spend much time thinking about popularity. I believe they exist to make and play music, if people like the music or not is inconsequential. I do hope that the success that has come their way and the success that is to come, will only further their desire to create and play amazing songs. steady rollin' ~pedro

Re: bionic woman

Okay. I still wish I knew why they barely every play linger on. It's a mystery to me.

Re: bionic woman

i think there are 'special' songs that are saved, saved for the nights when they are really feeling it, there is a buzz in the atmosphere or whatever.
such songs as linger on, threnody and until recently waves of grain which i personally feel are beyond awesome cannot be played often. they are too special to be just be chucked away and played like any other song.
just a few thoughts, am sure someone can say what im trying to say better than i.

Re: bionic woman

i heard adam sing it on his own .i was very happy that night. then he thanked me for asking for it afterwards, without a few beers in me i doubt i would have talked to him at all.first time my friend heard the song that night and its his favorite song ever now, mine also. skelly is my second name, stop slaging it off the whole time please

Re: bionic woman

sorry jon

Re: bionic woman

I may be wrong but i get the idea they don't really care for popularity. They've made it this far...to the point that they're able to make a living out of something they enjoy doing. They strike me as the type of guys who don't care how many people are in their crowd, just as long as the people there want to be there, and are there for a good reason. Like the type of reason we are discussing this right now. Maybe they want to be huge, or maybe they are happy just the way they are. Personally i can't see them becoming huge stars or anything like that, not that they don't deserve it, but because their music is so honest and powerful that the majority of the mainstream audience in these times simply cannot deal with honest. Or to this extent. All i know is i love them as they are, and for the same reasons i fell in love with them in the first place.
And as far as the 'secret songs' thing goes, i agree with that...Maybe they are keeping them hidden for a while and will surprise us all on a later date. Or if they make it the 'big time' look out for them on 'The best of 2Gs'.

Re: bionic woman
