Dave Cullen MAfr and Monsignor Michael Kelly of Tanzania
Janet and I enjoyed a visit today from Frank Nolan, Peter Smith and Chris Wallbank. They told us that David had been taken into hospital with covid - all of our visitors had also contracted it - and David soon went downhill physically, though surely up in every other way; he died about 2 weeks ago.
Also recently died was Monsignor Michael Kelly, of Leeds. Some of us knew him at the Priory when as Bro Michael he was studying architecture. He was later ordained and chose to stay and join the diocese of Mbeya when the MAfr left the region. He continued to build schools for the local people, according to a neighbour who met him in Tanzania.

It is with great sadness that I heard of the death of Fr David. He was a tutor in Broomehall when I was a postulant. He had the ownerous task of teaching us French, even though Fr Duffy couldn't understand my English. God rest them both.
