Further to my last few words about Fr John, my plan was to have a few words with some of the people that new John when he was young in our parish.
Mrs O'Donnel was in Johns class at School in Cowdenbeath she remembers that he used to sit behind a girl with blond hair and dip it into the ink well which did not go down well.
Unfortunately I have just heard some more sad news regarding Fr Johns sister Elizabeth, who lived in Australia, she has just past away.
I remember her as my primary 2 school teacher many years ago.
Please remember in your prayers Mrs Hanlon their surviving sister who has had a very hard few months loosing both of her siblings in such a short space of time.
