I was so sad to hear from Mike Ellis, that Father John Lynch had died in Florida. I was talking to his sister yesterday (Sunday)she told me that Fr John had been walking to a meeting when he was knocked over by cyclists hitting his head on the road. He was taken to hospital but sadly he did not survive.
Fr Lynch was from my Parish (Holy Name Oakley Fife) and I am sure I was an alter boy when he was Ordained here.
I spoke to him a while ago on one of his visits home at that time he was yet to decide if he was staying in America or coming home to Scotland.
Please pray for the repose of Father Johns soul and for his sisters and their families.
