It is with a sad heart that I inform everyone of the passing of ParO.(b) Va.(f) Champion Ray's Kimme C. She was welped February 5, 1996 and passed today September 16, 2009. Kimme was not only a bench and field champion but she also managed to win a one day HGA at Pooles even though she wore her field trial blanket the first half of the hunt. She also placed second at Mr. Hubert Clemmons pen in a $10,000 Speed and Drive money hunts. She placed many other times, these are just the high lites. But above all this she was a fine pleasure hound in the pen and on the outside. She accomplished all this while belonging to Mr. Ray Casteen. All of us at Southern Belle kennel just want to Thank, Mr. Ray Casteen, for allowing us the pleasure to put our collar around the neck of such a fine hound. She will be missed but not forgotten at Southern Belle Kennel.
She was truly an outstanding hound in her day and would have really liked today's running ! She was one of the top 5 of all the hounds I have owned in 52 yrs of hunting with hounds . The Fat Man !
Jessie the hunt at Pooles was a speed and drive hunt I think ! She was fast enough to do well in the SRHA hunts and Creedmore would be heaven to her . She really liked to flat out run and she could.
Rachel was a puppy off of her , Trucker was off of the Fastest hound I have ever seen or owned , Ray's Rita C. Trucker had a great mouth but couldn't get within hearing of Rita's chase ! Good outside hound though ! I think Rachel was off of Kimme aand Ray's Little Jhon C. and trucker off of Ray's Rita C. & Jimmy's Litefoot B. Not sure but if you need to know I can look it up .
Sorry to hear about Kimmie. She lived a good long life, and was a super hound. I'm sure with Ray would love to have a pen full hounds just like her. If he did I would have to quit going to hunts with him!
