The Eastern North Carolina Foxhunters Association held the 2009 “Running Hound” Bench Show on May 2, 2009 at the Lenoir County Livestock Arena, Kinston, NC. The bench show was well supported by hunters and family, who came to help promote and support the running of hounds in N.C. A meal consisting of BBQ chicken (by Tony Mitchell and family) and BBQ pig by Rommie Hill and friend, with the potatoes and beans by Jeff Williams. We would like to say thanks to all for their hard work and dedication. We would also like to thank the Bench Show Judge, David Futch, and Clif Parker, Ring Master, for the outstanding job they did. A big thank-you to all board members and significant others who helped with the setting up and removing of tables and benches and for helping clean up after the bench show. We say a special thank you to Betty Jones, Dennis Jones wife, for her hard work and helping Sandra Williams (my better half, Jeff (Ranger) Williams) with the memberships, dog show cards, hats and shirts. Thank you to Pete Warren, our President, for keeping us all straight and together, without his stability we’d be lost. And to anyone that I missed let me extend a big Thank-you to you as well.

In the Child handling class each child received trophies for showing their puppies.
