i took nine dogs to merles saturday and only placed one but i can promise you im not crying saying someone cheated and i can bet you i will be going back. that pen has had the same type of running for the past five years all i can say is like it or leave it, it takes a real dog to be able to place at merles because the dog has to do it his self and not depend on other dogs to be running the game so he can cut in, and by the way i think they ran alot longer than 45 mins. kinda hard to here the back side of a 350 acre pen. oh yeah just one more thing if someone cheated for somebody tell me how the all-age dog won, cause merle dont even know their name much less them, kinda odd HUH???
A dog has to do it his self, what is there to do when all the game runs into holes right time they hear a dog bark. That isn't fair cause you might get a dog scored three times at the beginning of the hunt then the running stops and that dog places off of 50 points. That short amount of running doesn't prove what nobody has. Even if a dog has a lot of hunt and speed it will never do well at that pen because the running isn't any good. when the winning dog barely gets 150 points what is that. I'm been to hunts where a dog can score 150 points and be the slowest thing at the hunt while the winning dogs score over 1000 points. He needs to seriously restock his pens with game that will run instead of having hunts where people waste their money and could go somewhere else and hear a better chase!
