ENGINE NOISE COMING THROUGH 219 WILDLIFE 1000 TRACKING BOX
GOT A 1997 CHEVY 1500 AND A WILDLIFE 1000 219 FREQUENCY BOX ....HAVE ENGINE NOISE COMING THROUGH THE TRACKING BOX WHEN TRUCK IS RUNNING.....NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AGO.....BOX IS NOT PLUGGED INTO CIGARETTE LIGHTER ....JUST HOOKED TO ROOF MOUNT ANTENNA RUNNING OFF BOX BATTERY. TRIED SOMEONE ELSES 220 WILDLIFE BOX AND THAT BOX DID NOT HAVE ENGINE NOISE COME THROUGH AND HE TRIED MY BOX IN HIS 2000 CHEVY AND DID NOT DO IT...ONLY DOES IT IN MY TRUCK.....ANY BODY EVER SEEN THIS?

electronic noise is a difficult thing . it is a lot of time frequency selective that could explain why you hear it on the 219 box and not the 220 box
i would still bet on the wires and plugs causing the problem
if it is a whine not a fast popping sound then your problem is more than likely the alternator but if you are hearing a real fast popping noise then try the wires and plugs
