It is with a very heavy heart that I learned yesterday evening of the passing of one of the true great fox Hunters in the State of SC.
James Henry Ardis taught many of us a great deal about foxhounds and many other things. We will dearly miss him.

I am very sorry to hear of James' passing. James was a fixture at many, many field trials at Pamplico and Manning among other places. James even had his own road at Pamplico! James always had a kind word for everyone he met. He was genuinely liked by all the hunters and judges that knew him. RIP James.

I remember him judging at Fox-E-Fox Preserve at Hallsboro NC. I am sorry to hear about him passing. Thanks Brian Hass for telling us.

Yes Angela we made a good many trips up there judging when y'all first built the pen. Sure enjoyed it

With great sadness to learn the passing of Mr James. He never met a stranger. One of the best Judges I ever judged with. He truly knew a hound. He will be so missed. God Bless Mrs Butch, Family and his Fox Hunting Family. R.I.P. Mr James.

I was feeding and watering dogs, got a phone call from butch Ardis this afternoon telling me of his passing field trial a lot with the Ardis family a lot all over the place . my father,Melody and Jamesand Butch we had some great memories!!
