I have been a deer hunter all my life. From the time I can remember my dad and I have always had our own packs. I currently have my own pack of 5 hound and have gotten interested in field trials. All of my dogs are are from other guys at my current club or from people who have gotten out of hunting. What do I need to know to get into field trials? Do dogs need to be registered with pedigrees to parti****te? How do I enter hunts? etc.

Wade Derby Dog are dogs that are 2 under years old. All Age 2 years old and older. In a all age hunt you can put a derby dog in the hunt. In a championship hunt you need registered the dog. There are two type field trail. Outside
field trial the dogs run on the outside. Inside field trail the dogs run in the pen. Call the fox pen owner to see when you can run your dogs. When they are putting a on hunt call the one that is putting hunt to get a number.
Litter enroll the dogs. Puppies birth to one year. Good luck
