    Re: SAD NEWS!

That is really sad news. I was just asking about the "Colonel's" health at the Pee Dee. I was told he wasn't doing too good but was "hanging in there". Gerald was "one of a kind". He taught many of us that judged with him, how things were suppose to be done in the judges' room. When I first started judging with him, I didn't know how to take his gruff manner. I soon found out his "bark" was a lot worse than his "bite". We became very good friends over the next 20 years. We "solved" many of the world's problems at the back bumper of his truck in the parking lot of whatever motel we stayed in. With the help of a few "adult beverages", that is. Gerald will be remembered as one of the best MOH the fox hunting world has ever known. I feel truly blessed to have known him and call him a friend. Thanks for the memories "Colonel".
