The 2016 NC State Field Trial was a total success!
On behalf of President Jeff Brinchek and the Directors of the NCFHA we would like to thank everyone who attended this years 2016 NC State. Also thank you to MOH Tommy McLamb and the fine group of hard working judges for putting up a tremendous score board each day. Richard Evans has the pen in excellent shape and the running was incredible! with it taking 1315 pts. to win the speed and drive!!!
Also thank you to a great group of Hunters who brought a top notch class of hounds to the hunt. One fact that I noticed each day was the group effort on catching up hounds and the sportsmanship displayed the entire hunt. A big congratulations goes out to Lamar Blalock on winning a very tough hunt and making Blalocks Twister the 2016 NC State Field Champion! Also to Chris Powell on winning BIS with his fine hound Ch.CMK's Calvary IGWT.
Congratulations to Roger Johnson for receiving this years Gordon Sorrell Sportsmanship award. Roger is a very hard hunter and a very good friend of mine and very deserving of this special award.
