Re: 2016 YOUTH LEADERBOARD RULES & FOXHOUND AWARDS PROGRAM
Clarifications to Questions:
1. This a new program starting in 2016, established to recognize the upcoming kids and youth.
2. Youth hunts can be either a 1-day or 2-day event.
3. We will calculate and track points earned for the same 4 categories- Hound Sire, Dam and Kennel (HOY, SOY, DOY and KOY), similar to the current Leaderboard program..
4. Hounds and youth/kennels points will be kept and posted separately from the other leaderboard standings.
5. Points earned from placements in Youth field trials cannot be transferred to the other Leaderboard standings. Reason- we want the entries to reflect the kids names so they can receive special recognition for their accomplishments at year end.
6. Any affiliated Masters or National FHA member can plan and “host” a Youth field trail. The field trial must run under the National Rules, Masters Rules (GTP or HGA) or July National Rules. Reason, we want the “hosting” organizations to attempt to have teaching and learning activities for the kids while the trials are occurring.
7. No separate affiliation fee is required to be paid to host a Youth field trail
8. As with the current leaderboard program, we will work with our sponsors to recognize and award the Top Youth at the annual Master’s awards banquet held each year in March.
