I am really getting tired of people playing games on the classifieds side of the page as if we are all children . The classifieds section of the page is for buy,sale and trade situations only its not the hunters facebook page or a place to anonymously post crap like "I've got turkey walkers I'm wanting to sale they are some jamm up smokers on a turkey" that's ridiculous you're defouling a great idea that was put together that helps keep houndsman world wide united. Grow up and remember children login all the time also they don't need to be reading your rants about opinions of people you've dealt with or the hound you bought and hate.
My personal opinion, and opinion only. .. I wouldn't care if they didn't have a classified. 8 outta 10 post are stuff that someone don't want. And careless breeders know they can sale whatever they don't want. Buy a hound from someone you know or someone with a good name, not a stranger. I know people that breed crap to a good stud and sale "nice" pups all the time. And they are not necessarily liars as much as they want to breed their female and don't know their butt from a hole in the ground about real dogs.
I agree there is a lot of bs in the classifieds, but I will say that having hounds jump turkeys is real.
I purchased a turkey hunt just like that years ago for my dad at a NWTF dinner because I thought he would really enjoy something like that in the fall. It was the most fun I have had a turkey hunt in a long time. The hounds go in and scatter the turkeys and then they get loaded back up.
For some reason the turkeys always return to where they were scattered from, so you just set up real fast and call very lightly and they come right back. My ole man ended up missing one but I will say it was a ton of fun and something I never really knew even existed.
Im not saying that the guy you are speaking of was playing a game or not but I just wanted to share my story because I had no idea it was a real thing until I went on a hunt myself.
two more weeks and its go time for us in VA... Getting excited.
