A hunt at Joe's? That's not a hunt that's a hunt you'd be lucky to have 2 races a day. Parker/Davis go to hunts with running like the other 95% of hunters. If your the other 5% an dodge running than you go in 2 weeks.

    Re: fastest male

Skidrow glad your man enough to put your name on here. But someone said name any hunt any date so we proposed one. If skidrow is the dog yall say he is bring him up here for us to see. I personally would like to see if the speed demon can put his head down and hunt and jump his own piece of game.

Not promoting Big Eddie but he has been from Canada to Georgia placing and winning. I've haven't heard of skidrow coming to a fox pen a getting his name called. So bring him on up to the hunt so we can see what a good hound he is on a fox.

    Re: fastest male

THE SKID ROW DOG IS A NICE DOG & I'M SURE EDDIE IS TOO.SKID ROW MUST BE A FREAK OF NATURE.HE'S WINNING & PLACING IN EVERY KIND OF HUNT THEY PUT HIM IN.FROM 3HRS- 3DAYS.I'M SURE EDDIE IS A HELL OF A HOUND IN HIS OWN RESPECT

    Re: fastest male

I have never been to Low Country at Manning, SC but I used to hear it was loaded with fox. Did they quit running fox over there?

I think Skid Row has placed in Shelbyville, TX; Grapevine, AR; Hope, AR; Enon, LA; Picayune, MS; and Manning, SC not to mention the nice finish at the World Cup in Swainsboro, GA. That is traveling pretty good but I guess he never went to a fox only fox pen which is kinda specific to the state of VA. Virtually every pen in the "West" has some gray fox and a lot of them have reds too.
That said, it would be nice to see what a LA/TX wolfhound could do in a VA fox pen...

    Re: fastest male

And for all you hatters .

in Virginia we can only run foxes as our game commission has assigned. U.S. To so we train and trial on fox weather it be two hours or five so when it comes to hound of the year votes. Or pointes .
we would be glad to run a hunt in good ole Virginia for the hound of the year instead of playing in the masters rules for a real hound of the year as we in Virginia have been abused the last 2 of the four years having to play with of game for a real hoy and that's a fact not a statement we won't do it this year for sure we will make up all the 50 dog hunts we need to make sure a national hga dog gets what he deserving weather the leaderbord and you masters rules runners like it or not ......... Thank you for abbussing U.S. hga hunters for so long Robbie Davis whiskey creek kennels

    Re: fastest male

The average All Age entry in the hunts where Skid Row placed was over 150 hounds which was a slightly higher average entry than the hunts where Big Eddie placed. They competed against roughly equal amounts of competition as far as numbers go.
As for the standings being skewed toward Masters and GTP hunts rather than National and HGA hunts, that is probably true at least when you look at just the hunts held in fox pens. Several of the Major National hunts that carry the most weight in HOY are outside hunts (National & Futurity) or alternate from inside to outside (USO & All American) so to really grab a lot of points from National HGA hunts you would have to do some field trialing in the wild while the Major Masters hunts are almost always held in a pen.

    Re: fastest male

Here is a little something to think about: Lets have 2 HOY One for all the hunts inside the wire and one for all the hunts outside the wire. I think both should be recognised. I am sure that it will be a differant hound, but if the same hound would win both, that would be a complete hound.

GO AHEAD WHITEY TELL IT LIKE IT IS

    Re: fastest male

I have read some of the post some pretty entertaining to say the least. It is a hard thing to pick the who better than who unless they go head to head and it sounds like they did last year at the World Cup.
I also think if you want to measure who got what all you have to do it look at Hound of the YEAR standings that says a mouthful and takes a lot of opinions out of it.
I also like looking at the Sire of the Year that kinda gives good indication what sire is producing winners that can compete in competition. Very good post it is nice to see something on the message board worth reading....and entertaining.

    PS
Eddie and Skid both be nicer dogs if they were both solid white :):)
    lmao
