    Uniden or ICOM all the way. As long as your antennas are 3 ft apart and you run your radio on 1 watt, should not have an issue. As far as collars go, have not had an issue with my TT-10's being affected by marine radio.

    way to go is with icom use mine on 25 watts and never had problem with garmin keep each antenna on opposite of cab with icom they can program expansion channels in where u never have no problem mistakes are made by using wrong channels and then being smart mouth when people with authorize use ask u to get off channels also the fcc will assign couple freq to hunt clubs for their use what we have here good luck vhf way to go.
