How many folks are just keeping hounds to pleasure hunt or night hunt these days ? I enjoy a field trail as much as anyone but also like to hear a race and just watch the dogs.
I do both love to field trial but last couple years we been day light running during the day, meet up have breakfast cast dogs watch crossings for 5 hours catch dogs cook and eat lunch and cut up and pick, ton of fun, and comrade ....I like to trail, but enjoy pleasure running and looking at dogs work.
Same here Lenny. I enjoy watching and listening to the dogs just as much as I do a field trail. I don't get to do it often but I like hearing hounds and running them at night, especially a cool night.
