Matt....don't know you...don't know anything about your hounds.
And yes, you are entitled to your opinion.
That said...rather than "blow off" about a hunt of which you "NO NOTHING"!!.....Why don't you load your hounds and come compete?? There are and have been some mighty good hounds that compete in these trials. And to enlighten you...guess what...most of them HAVE PLACED in other hunts...in other places...in the daylight and in the dark too. At $100 a hound entry fee...no one is gonna bring a "maybe" hound!!
As for the judging...when you put 25-28 judges in an enclosure with radio communication to each other, and experience in judging.....they get judged very closely! Probably more so than in a lot of other hunts!!
It is easy to sit back, and criticize on the computer, but something else, to get off your butt, out of the house, and compete against a quality field of hounds!! So Matt....load up your hounds and come find out for yourself...unless you are a true computer hunter, who likes to hunt on the computer screen!!
If you think by the tone of my post that I am upset with your totally "unqualified" comment...you are right!!

PS: Just so you will have an idea of the quality of judges.. a number of them have judged Nationals...Masters....All-American...so I would think they would be QUALIFIED.....probably more so tha you!!
