Like Don said.....ADMIRE is the best preventative for sure! I use it on my hounds too. Bayer Complete Insect is the next best thing to put on them.
If you need to rid your kennels or other areas of fleas; the best product I have found is TALSTAR. The Southern States stores around here sell it. Use 1 1/2oz per gallon of water, remove your hounds from the kennels; spray kennels, let dry, replace hounds.
Wait 7 days, repeat the spray process (7 days is the hatch cycle for fleas), and after that your flea problem should be gone. DO NOT put Talstar on your hounds!!!!!!!!!
Fleas seem to be a problem this year as it was such a mild winter!
