If you don't run them weekly with differnet conditions, it is hard to say. They could have a fault that you didn't see that day.

So, based on what i saw for one day, I would say the best gyp is Ch. Dog Bluff Rita. I ran with her and her sister, and Rita was the best hound there (around 60 to 70 hounds) from what i like in a hound. They were running greys and she was a machine. I think Rita went on to win 2 championships as well as her sister. When you see one like Rita, you don't have to ask, you will know.

Others of note that have impressed me that i have seen or judged..

Bradys' Black Widow (saw her at the first 3 day pen hunt i ever attended)

PD Hope (she stuck out while judging at the NC State hunt)

Doc Davenport had a batman gyp that i saw two or three times, she could run something, her name escapes me.


As far as living, you know a good one gets even better after they are dead.
