Been using the Y-Tec Purple Python cattle tags for the last 3 years and have had no sick dogs and no ticks. Prior to that I fought ticks every year and lost a few to tick fever. Ordered the admire from High Speed hound supplies from their add on this site and it has kept the fleas gone also. By the way, the tags are only a little over 1.00 each and they are much easier to use than mixing spray and spraying all dog houses and all of pens. With these tags on their collars it keeps ticks off them for at least two to three months. I load my dogs up after running them every Sat morning and see ticks crawling on them and by the time I get them home and unloaded you see no ticks. They won't even try to stay on a hound that has the tag on the collar. I just punch a hole in the bottom of the tag and run a tie through the two holes(the original hole at the top and the one I just punched) and pull it tight and this makes a loop out of the tag and then I slip it on their collars and that way only half of it is against the hair and the other half exposed to them to inhale and its behind their heads on their collars so they don't inhale that much and have NEVER had any signs of it making any of them sick.
