We could not have asked for a better day for a field trial than the one we had Saturday May 14th. We got a good rain the day before and it settled the dust and put water in the holes and ditches. Saw no bugs and the temp was just right. The 114 young hounds were eager to run the coyotes which felt good also. Didn’t see any game in trouble all day. Thank you, Lord for a good day.
Thank you, Bill Holden for doing a good job Mastering the hunt and thank you Tommy Carter for serving as the Assistant Master. Tommy it was good to see you feeling better. It is always good to see Tommy driving in. A big thank you to the 14 judges that showed up and did a great job. They were: Bill Holden, Brandon Strickland, Joel Blackmon, Kyle Blackmon, Wesley Holloman, Tommy Carter, D.J. Enzor, David Ward, Evan Ward, Ellison Ward, Brad Turbeville, Cecil Lee, James Benton, and Bubba Willis. Also thank you Johnny Shaw, Bench Show Judge and Brandon Strickland, Ring Master for doing a great job.
Thank you to Terrie Holden for running the computer and getting it done early and also for helping Hilda enter the hounds.
Brandon Strickland was on time at 3:30am to help me start breakfast. Can’t play around when it has to be ready by 5:00am. Then he was there to help me get things cleaned up after the hunt. I could not have done it without you. Thanks.
Thank you Lisa McShane for all you do, cooking, selling meals, cleaning, pictures, and posting hunt.
I am giving my wife Hilda a thunbs up for all her work behind the scenes and getting up early to take entries. I have already forgiven her for forgetting to bring the jackets from last hunt.
Had my granddaughter Brennan helping this week selling 50/50 tickets and helping fix meals. Also had my grandson Evan and his wife Ellison down from Clemson to help me judge, what a big surprise, Thank you all.
