The night before a hunt is always a short one and have someone call at 10:30pm to turn in a number will definitely interrupt your sleep, then to get up at 3:00am to a thunder storm and heavy rain. Got to the pen and it was wet,wet,wet. Cast 194 hounds at 6:03 and it turned out to be a nice day all day. Running was good even with all the water. The game must like to run in water because we didn’t lose any. I want to thank Bill Holden for Mastering the hunt and his son Zander for serving as Asst. Master. Good job fellows. Also Thanks to Dwight Little ,Bench Show Judge and Eddie Brinson, Ring Master for doing a good job also.
Thanks Cari Hayes for intering scores and selling 50/50 tickets and also giving the hunters a little info on filling out Bench Show cards. That girl can get it done.
I know it would have been easy to cut the clock off this morning and lay in bed but the judges were right on time. Thank you fellows for all you do. They were as follows: Bill Holden, Zander Holden, Cecil Lee, James Benton, Chick Benton, Jimmy Tharp, Duck Britt, Brad Thomas, Dwight Little, Brian Daniel, Eddie Brinson, and Brandon Strickland.
Thanks to Angie for coming and helping me in the kitchen . It was good to see her walk in the door. Thanks you Crebo and Bell for helping me with game patrol. Had a young judge come in at 4:00am to help me get breakfast ready. Thank you Brandon Strickland, you are going to go places young man.
I had a really good surprise that just made my day. My oldest son David and my grandson Evan came by at 4:00am to help me today. Thanks so much and you both were a big big help.
It was such a good day.
