Well when I lay down Friday night on June 12th, I was expecting to get up to a nasty day of rain, but when I got out at 3:15am and headed to the pen no rain. No rain all day made for a fine day for a field trial and we had a good one. We had some new hunters join us this time and they were real nice and they even placed some hounds. Hope you all can make it back real soon.
Hilda had a close call on the way to the pen. A car or truck side swiped her and knocked her driver side mirror off. Boy that was close.
A big thanks to Bill Holden for Mastering the hunt. Bill always does a good job and so did Brad Thomas as his Assistant Master. Dwight Little was the Bench Show Judge and John King serving as Ring Master. Thanks fellows for doing a great job. We had a good group of judges that are very dedicated and I thank them all for what they do. They were: Bill Holden, Zander Holden, Dwight Little, Brian Daniel, Duck Britt, James Benton, Chic Benton, Cecil Lee, Brad Thomas, Chris Anderson, John King, and Jimmy Tharp.
Cari Hayes comes in early to help Hilda take entries, then she keeps the scores posted and sells 50/50 tickets for a child in need C&M Puppy and Derby
. This girl can get it done.
I am having to work Hilda a little extra now preparing meals when she is not helping Cari with the paper work. I know she feels needed. Thanks Matt Hammond for helping me in the kitchen and serving the meals and helping Hilda clean up the mess we make.
A big thanks to Junior Jones and Ronald and Cody Watts for coming to help me on game patrol. Good job fellows. Thanks to all the feed companies for their support.
