Well this was our last Puppy and Derby hunt for 2019. It was a good day. The weather was good as it was overcast the first 3 hours of the hunt. Running was good for the entire 4 hours. We have been lucky this year and it did not rain on us during the hunts all year.
We had some new faces Saturday and glad they came. Hope they will be back. We had a nice group of hunters and I give a big thank you to each of you. We have a lot of people to thank that supported the hunts at C&M. The Hunters and Judges and everyone that gave a helping hand when it was needed. Today we had Bill Holden serving as Master of Hounds and as always doing a great job. Stephen Fowler was our Bench Show Judge and Zander Holden was the Ring Master. Thanks fellows for a good job. Judges were as follows: Bill Holden, Zander Holden, Dwight Little, Ronald Watts, Amy Watts, Keith Wiggins, Tommy Carter, Brad Thomas, Grant Hoff, Matt Hammond, Danny Fowler, Duck Britt, James Benton and Cecil Lee. Thanks to all the judges for all you do for the fox hunting sport. I know that all of you have other things that you could be doing. Deer season opens in October and most of the judges hunt. Hope all of you have a successful and safe hunting season.
Thank you Cari Hayes for finding the time you give us at C&M . You make things happen. Posting scores and selling 50/50 tickets seem so easy for you. This time our 50/50 money goes to Brock Ward. Brock is a small boy that had been battling eye cancer. He has had to have one eye completely removed . We were able to collect $401.00 from sale of tickets and donations . Please keep Brock in your prayers. He is not out of the woods yet.
Lisa McShane took time away from her business to help out this week. She stayed busy cooking and taking pictures and posting them. Thank you Lisa.
I think my wife Hilda is ready for a little break from helping me with the hunts. I really appreciate all she does.
A big thank you to Mike Carr with Pride, and Randy McGovern with Showtime and Buddy Boy for your support this year. We will be having the C&M 3 Day Open the first week in December. I hope that all of you can make it. We plan on starting the puppy & derby hunts again in January.
