We were looking for rough weather with lots of rain but that didn’t happen. We had a very good day with no rain until after the hunt was over. Sooooo blessed. We had 122 hounds and the running was great . I want to thank all those that helped put on this hunt. To start off with I want to thank my kitchen partner Carson Strickland for helping me with breakfast and lunch. Couldn’t have done it without you Carson. I also want to thank Greg for helping me from start to finish doing anything I needed done. Cari Hayes posted the scores and as usual did a fantastic job and got us out early. She also sold 50/50 raffle tickets and l/2 the proceeds went to the winner drawn and the other half plus direct donations($467.00) went to the family of Ryder Lee Norris, the 2 year old son of Charles and Charlotte Ann Norris from Tabor City, N.C . Ryder has a tumor the size between a baseball and soft ball and so far has not been successful in shrinking it due to the tumor being wrapped around his main aorta. Please keep this child in your prayers.
I again want to thank our judges for coming out even when they expected bad stormy weather. Tommy Carter ,Master of Hounds did another super job along with all the other judges who were as follows: Keith Wiggins, Dwight Little, Eddie Brinson, Duck Brigg, Brad Thomas, Bill Holden, Zander Holden, Cecil Lee, James Benton and Chick Benton.
Dwight Little also served as the Bench Show Judge along with Lenny Crowe as Ring Master. Thank you guys for doing a great job also. I again want to thank Mike Carr with Pride and Randy McGovern with Showtime Feeds for helping support our hunts. Much appreciated .
