C&M Puppy and Derby Hunt 4/13/19

It was an absolutely perfect day for a field trial. The sun was not always shinning but the temperature was perfect. The 169 hounds were eager and the hunt was great. What more could we have asked for. I want to thank all the hunters who came and enjoyed the day and for the children who came and as always kept themselves busy. Congratulations to all the winners. A mighty big thank you to the ones who helped put on this hunt. Lisa McShane was sick and could not help us on this one. Hope you are better soon Lisa. Linda Bryant helped in the kitchen and Sally Mills took pictures and both ladies did a great job. I want to thank my wife Hilda for helping me all week to get the preparations ready. I also want to give a big thanks to Cari Hayes for posting scores quickly and accurately. She also found time to again sell 50/50 tickets during her spare time. She did a great job with this also and sold $1027.00. Half of this went to the winner drawn and the other half along with miscellaneous donations went to Tanner Buffkin’s family. Tanner is a 14 year boy with Leukemia and has been at MUSC, Charleston since Feb. 7th. Please keep Tanner and his family in your prayers. We were able to present his parents with a total of $1,039.00. His father Phil Buffkin wanted me to let everyone know how much he and his family appreciated this kind and generous donation.
I want to thank Tommy Carter , Master of Hounds and his group of judges who were as follows: Tommy Carter, Bill Holden, Zander Holden, Cody Watts, Preston Watts, Duck Britt, Cecil Lee, Check Benton, James Benton,Eric Shipman, Tommy Murray, Eli Bryson, Dwight Little and Brad Thomas . Thank you all for your dedication and hard work. Job well done. Also Dwight Little was our Bench Show Judge and Preston Watts was the Ring Master. Good job you guys and thank you so much. I don’t want to forget our supporting dog feed companies which are Pride Dog Feed,(Mike Carr) and Show Time Feeds (Randy McGovern). We really appreciate your support.
