On Saturday, September 8, 2018, the Eastern NC Fox Hunters Association held its Open Bench Show and Membership Drive. This year’s event was held at the newly renovated Lenoir County Livestock Building in Kinston, NC

We would like to say thanks to Eve Honeycutt from Lenoir County Agricultural Agency for allowing us to hold our event at their facilities. In appreciation we made a monetary donation to the local 4H Club in Kinston NC. Many thanks to the Chase Publishing Company for the beautiful ENCFHA full page ad and for all the support shown through the years to keep the running of hounds strong here in NC and throughout the Country.
A special thanks to fellow board member Kenny Fulcher and his wonderful crew for the scrumptious fish fry, potatoes, hushpuppies, and delicious banana pudding. Thanks to President Tony Mitchell for delivering the dinner blessing and keeping us all in check. We want to thank the Bench Show Judge Tony Wall and the Ring Master, Johnny Stevenson for their outstanding job. To all the board of directors, thank you for helping with set up and clean up; a special thanks to Sandra Williams, for helping with the entries, memberships, bench show cards, hats and shirts and so many other endless tasks. Thank you to Roscoe Dawson, who was in charge of the bench show this year; John Patterson for the beautiful plaques and the extra, extra nice customized ribbon awards. Congratulations to Tri County Kennels from Supply, NC on their ENCFHA Bench Show win, they took home the prestigious ENCFHA Founding Members Challenge Trophy and will receive double points for The Chase-Pride Bench Challenge series. Congrats to all the other parti****nts who showed and placed hounds!

All proceeds from this event are used to promote and support the running of hounds in North Carolina.

Children Handling Class: Children Class Bench Show Judge, Reggie Edwards, looked over the class of hounds and after some deliberation, Reggie declared everyone a winner. Each child received a trophy for showing their dog.
