C&M Fox Preserve
Puppy and Derby Speed & Drive Hunt

Another perfect day for a field trial. We had 93 entries and the weather cooperated well. We cast at 5:55am and it did not get too hot until the hunt was over. I want to thank Tommy Carter for being our Master of Hounds and again doing a great job. Tommy has been under the weather a bit lately and it was good to see him feeling better. He also had a great group of judges to work with and they all did a great job and were as follows: Bill Holden, Zander Holden, Cecil Lee, James Benton, Check Benton, Brad Thomas, Julian Lee, David Todd, Jason Benton, Joe Wilson, Duck Britt, Dwight Little and Tommy Carter. I have said this before and I say it again, without our good judges we could not have a good field trial. I also want to thank Dwight Little for being our Bench Show Judge and Jason Benton for serving as Ring Master and also thank you Jason for helping me in the kitchen. I really appreciate the good job you both did. Thanks to Cari Cayes for posting the scores and selling 50/50 tickets . She always does a good job. We missed Lisa McShane and all her help in the kitchen and taking pictures. Her job does not leave room for our field trials during the summer months but I have asked her to continue to post our pictures since she does such a great job. Thank you Lisa. My wife Hilda assisted me in the kitchen but draws the line when it comes to posting pictures. That does not seem to be one of her many talents.
Again I want to thank Mike Carr with Pride and Randy McGovern with Showtime for promoting our hunts. Congratulations to all our winners and please come back again. Our next hunt will be July 14th and C&M 2 Day Derby will be July 27th and 28th. Bring the family and enjoy the fun. Results as follows:
