Lima Road fox preserve was rolling for the second round of the June and under puppy series. The weather was wonderful after a shower rolled trough before the hunt started and the scent conditions were almost perfect. Smokin Aces took round one but Croatan Kennels got the win in round two. The 31 puppies ran hard but once again the game got the upper hand. Spring Branch and Big S Inc. has the pen stocked and in shape. The point series has tightened up with Croatan, Smokin Aces, Tuscarora and White Oak River Kennels. Smokin Aces has a slim lead with Ambush followed by Buzzkill , Croatan’s Jordan and Jewell sitting 3rd and 5th with Tuscarora Kennels Dee sitting 4th. White Oak has Twister, Hightone well within reach. Today was Kim Eaton’s birthday and the hunters sang a wonderful Happy Birthday song to her. Will and myself sounded like Florida Georgia Line leading the hunters. Thanks to judges Will Sutton, Matthew Sutton, Doug Landingham, Hunter Whaley, Bud Whaley, Carl Murphy, Roger Johnson, Mike Sutton and Robert Adams. The next hunt will be May 27th to finish up the series. The hunts are individual TEST OF THE BEST hunts, so if you need numbers contact Mike at 252-521-9396.
