C&M Fox Preserve at 1270 Dessie Road, Chadbourn,N.C. will have their lst of 3 hunts in this series. Hunt will be held January 7th with cast at day light. Hunt will qualify for the Chase Test of The Best for 2017. Entry fee will be $31.00 per entry with $1.00 per entry going to the North Carolina Wildlife Pen Association and $5.00 per entry going to the winner of each class. We will have even numbers for puppies(under 12 mos) and odd numbers for derby (under 24 mos). We will also have a bench show and child handling class. Breakfast and lunch will be available. For any of the hunts with over 120 hounds we will have a drawing for a GPS collar. Each hound number will be entered and you do not have to place to win. We are still working on the awards for the winners. They should be equal to or better than in the past.
When a puppy ages out he will not be able to run in another puppy hunt period. He must go to derby. He can carry forward his points to the derby. If a derby hound ages out he can still finish series. No numbers will be given out on Dec. 31st and January lst. We will start back of Monday, January 2nd.
