Gates County Hunt Club "Sandbanks" in Gates Co., N.C., will be having two outside field trials on January 21st and February 11th, 2017. It's an open class Speed & Drive Hunt, cast at 8 a.m. Run for 4 hours with trophies awarded to the top 20. Entry fee is $15 per dog with an optional $5 side bet. Registration begins at 6 a.m., at Hall Ruritan Club, 99 Tinkham Rd., Eure, N.C., 27935. The book opens Sunday, January 1st at 5p.m. To get numbers, call Fred Callis at (757)328-1298. The Hall Ruritans will be serving breakfast and lunch, and there will be raffles as well!
We are located near the intersection of 13 and 158, behind Tarheel Bar-B-Q, all the way to the Chowan River. We have 60 members, who cannot enter hounds, but are mandatory to judge. Come out and have fun!
