Puppy & Derby Championship Hunt

On Friday it was looking as if we would need the umbrellas on Saturday for our championship hunt but it turned out to be a wonderful day. It was time to run the top 15 places from each of the five hunts this year and as they say “The cream will rise to the top”. Thanks to all the hunters that supported the hunts this year and for displaying a lot of sportsmanship from start to finish. A lot of good hounds made tracks at C&M and I thank all you hunters who brought them and hope you will continue to support our hunts. The total points winners for the series were Puppy: Will’s Lucky with 2240 points and Derby: Hoff’s Cricket with 4950 points. Congratulations to you both.
Thanks to Mike Carr with Pride and Randy McGovern with Showtime for all they do for C&M. Thanks Sportdog and Double U Hound Supply and Quick Track for their donations. When you hunters need hound supplies and tracking collars be sure to call these companies that support us. I can’t say enough about our judges that give their time and effort and always do a good job. We never do enough for them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You make the hunts. Coy Norris Mastered the hunt and did a five star job along with the other judges who were: Butch Howell, Sport Rabon, Dwight Little, Coy Norris, Curt Arnette, Duck Britt, Jay Child, Wayne Sullivan, Tommy Murray, Jessica Rabon, Joe McLean, Emily McLean and Jacob McLean.. Thank you Dwight Little for judging the Bench Show. Thank you to my wife Hilda and to Dianna Larrimore for getting all the scores in the computer and a special thanks to Hilda for keeping a tally on all the hounds scores for five months. Thank you Brianna Batten for being here to help me do anything that needs to be done. You are so helpful. Thank you Lisa McShane for helping in the kitchen and for taking pictures and posting them for everyone. I want you hunters to help me come up with some plan for next year. This was a good one. Our next Puppy & Derby will be June 11th. Hope to see you all again at C&M. Thanks Lonnie
