One hour can make so much difference at a field trial. Where we have been getting up at 3am to get started we got l more hour of sleep. I know when you are driving 3 to 4 hrs. in the morning it helps a lot. Thanks to all of you for coming to our Sept. 12th hunt, especially the one in SC that drove 3 l/2 hours and some in upper NC . About 2 to 3 hours into the hunt a slow rain started but the judges came prepared with their rain gear and umbrellas. The hounds didn’t mind to much, they were ready for some cool weather. Many thanks to Tommy Carter for Mastering the Hunt. He always does a professional job. Thank you Joey Fowler for being our Bench Show Judge and Coy Norris for being the Ring Master. You both did a great job. Thanks to all our judges. They all did great jobs and they had a tuff job when it was raining. I want to thank my wife Hilda for taking entries and entering scores. Thanks Brianna Batten for helping me out at eating time and for selling the 50/50 tickets. Half of the ticket sales go to the North Carolina Wildlife Preserve Association along with $1.00 of each entry. Thank you Lisa McShane for helping cook & clean and taking pictures and posting them .Thanks to our Feed Companies for supporting our hunts. They were Mike Carr with Pride and Randy McGovern with Show Time Feed. Thank you Greg for being there when I need you, which is a lot.
We had a good group of kids and mostly boys and did they have a boy time. Hope everyone can make it back to our next hunt on October 10th. Congratulations to all the winners.
