C&M Puppy and Derby S&D Hunt

Well Mr. Weatherman was good to us again this hunt. The rain we got on Friday was good in a lot of ways and the rain we didn’t get on Saturday was just as good. We had 106 entries and the running was great with a lot of good hounds. I want to thank our Master of Hounds, Kevin Howell for doing a great job and for all of the 19 judges who worked hard to see that all the hounds got due credit. The judges were as follows: Kevin Howell, Cody Watts, Butch Howell, Bill Holden, Dakota Holden, Dallas Hewett, Jerod Inman, Trevor Norris, Cade Watts, Hunter Cartrette, Bubba Willis, Cameron Cartrette, Curt Arnette, Brad Howell, Dwight Little, Gene Larrimore, Craig Shingleton, Tommy Carter and Preston Watts. Our Bench Show Judge was Dwight Little and Ring Master was Brad Howell. Thank you both for doing a fine job as usual. Inside the club house Irene Howell and my wife Hilda worked hard to keep all the scores posted and with this many judges they had their work cut out for them. Thanks
girls. Also inside was Linda Batten who helped me with cooking and cleaning , ect. Thanks Linda. Then there were the kids who sold the 50/50 tickets. Half of the $220.00 collected was donated along with $l.00 from every entry to the North Carolina Wildlife Preserve Association as usual. Thanks kids, you did a great job. I again want to thank Mike Carr with Pride Dog Feed and Randy McGovern with Showtime for donating some of the feed given to the winners. We really appreciate these companies and I hope you hunters will continue to support them.
