The 2014 Annual Dismal Swamp Field Trial & Bench Show has come to an end for another year. Thank you to all the hunters, judges and volunteers who made this field trial very successful. A special thanks to Bill McGee for serving as Master of Hounds and Will Rutherford for judging the Bench Show. 304 (120 derby, 184 all-age) hounds were entered in the hunt. We had great running all three days and the scoreboard really reflected it.

I enjoyed my first trip to Virginia but it want be the last time I go. I even had a little first timers luck with 10th place speed and drive. Meet some good people and made a few new friends. Also pooles is one of the nicest place I have been to. Congratulations to all that placed they deserve it because there were some nice dogs there that could really run a fox.
