Mark your calendars and make plans to attend (or otherwise support) the North Carolina Running Hound Association hunt on April 28th at Bay City Fox Preserve.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS HUNT WILL GO TO PRESERVE RUNNING HOUND SPORTS IN NORTH CAROLINA.

This hunt will be a 2-Class Speed & Drive Hunt with a bench show (including a children's class) and we will give out 15 places in each class (10 in each class on the bench). Clyde Sutton will serve as our Master of Hounds.

Quick Track extended range tracking collars will be awarded to the first place hound in each S&D class. The entry fee for this hunt will be $26 per hound plus a $10 membership fee.

Numbers for this hunt will be given out by Allen Lawson beginning on March 15th. Allen may be reached at 252-531-7161.

A hot lunch will be available for $5 (kids under 12 eat free). Also we will hold a raffle with plenty of nice prizes. If you would like to donate items for the raffle, please contact any NCHRA board member.

Anyone who enjoys a good hound race, inside or outside the wire, should only have to look at the posts on this website concerning the struggles our friends in VA are going through to recognize the serious, immediate, and well-funded threats to our hound running heritage. Please do your part to preserve that heritage by supporting the NC Running Hound Association and other organizations who raise the funds necessary to provide you with representation in the state capitol.
