Bryan Bearrs ran into some teenagers on snowmachines yesterday on Eklutna land near Clunie Lake. My best guess is that they came over via the railroad tracks and entered on the 14-mile loop-- I saw some tracks coming onto the 14 yesterday that hadn't been there before. Bryan was able to flag them down and correct the "error of their ways" but who knows if this will be the last we see of snowmachiners on the trail. Always be aware, always be looking ahead, always be listening-- our trail system is so narrow and windy that sometimes you won't see a snowmachine until it's already on top of your team.
