Water, water everywhere....in Deception creek anyway.

Heads up! Just spent an hour filling in moose holes and scraping the ice layer off the top of the trail only to find Deception Creek running deep and as fast as it does during the summer. If you have the means to do so, it would be wise to give warning to others to not use the Four Mile trail as they won’t see the creek until their dogs are already swimming/drowning because there is a high embankment that blocks their vision as they approach. Haven’t seen the other side but I have to guess that it is as torn up by deep deep moose holes as was my side. In which case, anyone running , particularly at night, will drop their dogs in those holes with resulting major season ending injuries.
