Ok... there have been quite a few changes to the forum since I last posted.
The 1st and most important change is the getting rid of the java/flash way of loading the forum.
It's gone back to being HTML based but still supporting bbcode. This should mean that people trying to connect by mobile phones should finally be able to gain access.
This is really good news and took ages to convince them (Bravenet) that it was an important change that HAD to be made! Hopefully it will load faster than before now.

I've also managed to get the text so that it's not 'centered' anymore. That makes it look much tidier now.

The smilies are all back, which is another good thing.

There have also been a few more minor changes and there are more to come, hopefully. A few of us really want to get "Start a new post" changed to "Start a new Topic (or Thread)" because we feel that is a bit confusing... we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Anyway, any more feedback would be gratefully recieved. It's important that you let me know if you are having any problems, because I can't report them if I don't know what they are. THANKS!!

Seems fine to me - sorry I haven't left any feedback... I haven' actually been visiting the site over the last couple of weeks cos I recently moved abroad and haven't had time for anything but solving the logistical nightmares that have been involved!

I think a lot of people have been away. I was just a bit worried that maybe people couldn't get on the forum. Before they changed it back to HMTL a lot of people reported that they were having difficulties. Anyway, it should be OK now, there are still a few things I would like to change, but we'll have to wait and see how 'flexible' Bravenet will be.

Yep, its been a mad few weeks but hopefully everything will work out once the dust has settled. Within a week my company sent me to work on a project in france so my heads all over the place at the mo!
English weather, well, in Newcastle the weathers not that bad... as you know, all the rain gets used up on you Mancs and Scousers in the West so we in the Holy Land manage to stay pretty dry! I think Lisbon in summer is going to be a bit unbearable to be honest

Anyway, I definitely prefer this new format! I will try to get an avatar asap! Don't want to be left out!

Anyway, forum news update! At last the posts seem to be in date order, which makes things better. All these changes started a MONTH ago and there are still problems!
Still, I agree Richie, I like it better now!
