Sorry to tell you all, but I've had a major problem with the forum today! When I logged on after work, there was NO forum pic, most of the posts had disappeared and the adverts were back on!

It seems that Bravenet are not at fault, I've spent a long time tonight trying to get to the bottom of this and I'm still not sure what has happened!
To cut a verrrrry long story short, it appears that my credit card company have 'declined' to pay this months rental on the forum.... why, I do not know! At the same time my email account had gone down (all messages lost), so I didn't get any messages from Bravenet saying that there was a problem. Tonight was the first I knew about it. After consultation with Bravenet, they have agreed to put the forum back up until I discover what the problem with the credit card company is... (and, before you think it... no, I havent't exceeded my credit limit! )

Unfortunately, though, this probably means that we won't get all the missing posts back.
I'm sooo sad about this most of the Bati-news, the Champions League predictions... Batigol9's video links and other 'special' posts... all gone!!

We'll just have to build them up again, which will take time, but I'm sure we'll do it eventually!

In the meantime... I've got to get in touch with my credit card company and try not to tell them exactly what I think of them!

Ahh.....that explains it. I`ve, as everyone else I guess, had big problems logging onto this forum over the past couple of days.

OK... latest news about this! The problem was because my expiry date had run out and I didn't realise that you had to re-present it with the new expiry date... I thought it would just carry on!
I don't use my credit card much, but it's the only way you can pay for the forum. Anyway... that's sorted now...
BUT......
after quite a bit of correspondence, Bravenet have said that they might be able to restore the old posts for us, from their backup... but this would mean that the new posts(since last Thursday) would be lost!
There are nearly 2000 posts missing, so... do we want to try to get them back?
Batigol-9... it would be impossible to replace all your video links and all the other posts/arguments/discussions/news items etc. so, personally, I would like to try to save them. How do you all feel about this?

Juan... you have posted a lot of news items since last Thursday, and Franca, you have posted the Bati interview. I can save them, but I've got a very busy week ahead so I probably wouldn't be able to re-post them until the weekend. If you wanted to (and if you have the time), you could save them yourselves and repost them.. would that be possible?
I definitely want to save the Argentina/England discussion (which I will add to when we've got this sorted out!) because that is truly fascinating!

Anybody else who has posted, please give your opinion too. I've asked Bravenet to wait for a couple of days, before they try to retrieve the old posts, until I have asked you all which you would prefer.

I know I shouldn't be so upset, but I'm REALLY gutted about it!
I up-graded the forum so that we could maintain 5,000 posts. At the moment we only have 265 active posts. The rest are gone forever, it seems.
Batigol-9... I am SO sorry that your Video Library posts have gone. Please don't let that stop you from continuing with the links! If we ALL work together, we can surely build this forum back up again!

I think I should go to bed now.... tomorrow I will feel better about this!

PS. Juan... good luck with your vacation, but please.... come back soon, we NEED you here!

So sorry to hear about the foul up. Why did Bravenet not check with you before pulling the plug? All your loyal cutom did not count with them,obviously.

The problem is, Bravenet have 6 million members now, so I suppose the 'personal' service is somewhat limited! I guess things are sorted on an automated basis now!

Anyway... the only way we will fill the forum up is by posting as much as we can.... which isn't easy with such limited news about Bati!
Thank God that Argentina play this month (well... in February) and the Champion's League starts up again!

The ones I used came from one or both! The ddis-welt site will always firstly show in German, but click on the American flag and the smilies' category will be translated into English (American).

I see them just fine! Don't know for sure, but I think the only problem maybe if people are accessing this from a company's computer. I can't see most smilies if I access forum sites from my work place (a hospital ward)
