I'm trying to find any information and or photographs of my Grandfather, Richard Hutton; He was a Chindit and served in the Burma campaign. I never had the fortune to meet him properly as he died shortly after I was born in 1984. I am unsure as to what regiment he was in prior to serving as a Chindit as my Father is reluctant to provide me with any information on his service history until my career in the Army has progressed. If anyone rememebrs him, or can provide me with any photos etc, it would be greatly appreciated as I think they would look quite good with his medals! Thank you.
