I actually find webinars more mentally exhausting than live meetings. It’s weird, because you’d think being at home, in your own environment, would be easier — but I often feel drained after sitting through a virtual session. I think it’s the lack of physical cues and energy from the room that makes it feel a bit flat. You’re staring at faces in little boxes, trying to interpret tone and meaning without body language, and it starts to wear on you after a while. I’m also one of those people who learns a lot from side conversations — the stuff that happens before or after the actual talk. Like when you run into someone at a coffee stand and casually start discussing the speaker’s point. That kind of spontaneous exchange just doesn’t happen in webinars. Still, I get why they’re popular. They're budget-friendly and way more accessible for people who can’t travel. But for me, if I had a choice and the timing worked out, I’d go live every time.

For me, it depends a lot on the context. If it’s a topic I’m just starting to explore, I actually like webinars — especially when they’re recorded. I can pause, rewind, take notes without missing anything, and even revisit the content days later if something didn’t stick. That said, I’ve noticed that I rarely engage during webinars unless the presenter really pulls me in. It’s too easy to get distracted or just leave it running in the background while checking emails. On the other hand, live events force me to focus. You’re there, in a room with other people, maybe slightly out of your comfort zone, but that’s where real learning often happens. You end up talking to people you wouldn’t normally talk to, and those random hallway chats sometimes lead to the most valuable insights. So I guess if I had to pick one, I’d lean toward live communication — but only when it’s well-organized and worth the effort of attending in person. Yeah and about that, it is important to have good webinar platform because there can not be always good platform
