Total beginer!!!!

Hi all today i have finished building and positioning my rased bed,it is in an excellent position, has lots of sun bit is not to windy!! My question is can use it to plant all veg, herb and fruit varieteys?? thanx x

Re: Total beginer!!!!

Some veg and fruit are far more suitable compared to others. The soil in a raised bed is less compacted than normal soil. This means that taller plants are liable to get blown over much easier in a raised bed. Avoid brussels sprouts, climbing plants, sweetcorn and other tall plants.

Lettuce, onions, garlic, beetroot, strawberries, carrots, parsnips all do well in raised beds.
